v0.3.46 · October 18, 2026

Fixed: Break it down and Make this step smaller now keep your name on your phone too (a stand-in is sent, as in Talk mode), and a damaged task file no longer empties your whole list.
🔍 Make this step smaller: on the yellow Start here card, if a step feels too big, tap it and Startsy splits that one step into 2 to 4 smaller ones right where it was. Tap the banner to undo.
After Startsy saves a task in Talk mode, it asks when you'd like to start. Say "now" and it's ready in Start here, or say a time ("in an hour", "tonight", "tomorrow morning", "at 3") and it sets the start-by reminder. If it doesn't catch the time, a picker opens.
Talk mode flows better: when you finish taking photos (tap Done) or pick them from your gallery, Startsy looks at them right away and tells you what it sees. When it has a plan it asks "Want me to save this as a task?", and saying yes saves it. No extra button needed.
Softer sounds in Talk mode: a gentle two-note chime when Startsy starts listening and when it has heard you, in place of the phone's sharp beeps.
Tapping a task in your list now brings it up in the yellow Start here card instead of finishing a step. Steps are finished only from the yellow card, so nothing gets checked off by accident. The task in Start here has a ▶ in its circle. To see or change all its steps, tap ⋯ → Edit.
Taking photos flows better: after each photo Startsy asks "Photo 1 of 5 added" with big, easy-to-see buttons. Tap Take another to go straight back to the camera, or Done. Startsy uses up to 5 photos, so big jobs can show every corner.
Fixed: if you tell Startsy a different name ("actually, my name is Nate"), it now keeps the newest name, even after you close and reopen the app. You can also change it in Settings → Talking with Startsy.
🎤 Talk mode: tap 🎤 Talk at the top (or 🎤 Add) and talk a task through with Startsy the robot. It says hi, learns your name, asks a few questions, asks for photos when that helps, and turns the conversation into a task with steps. Startsy talks back out loud and its mouth moves. Tap ☑ Tasks to go back.
Talk about any task: tap ⋯ on a task, then "Talk it through with Startsy".
Startsy remembers a few short notes about how you like to work (Settings → Talking with Startsy shows them, and you can delete any of them). Your name stays on your phone.
A cleaner task list: each task is one row. Edit, Start by, Back a step, Move and Let it go are under ⋯. Long-press 🎤 Add to type a task instead.
Startsy the robot has more room and more moves: when you finish a task it may walk across the top bar and back, do cartwheels, dance a jig, spin, hop or wave. Celebrations last a little longer so you can see them.
Startsy's motto greets you when you open the app: "A journey of 1,000 miles begins with one small step." It stays about 4 seconds so there's time to read it, or tap to skip.
📷 Photos for Break it down: add up to 5 pictures of the job (your desk, the dishes, your computer screen) so the AI can see it and make the steps fit. Photos are shrunk first, their hidden details like location are removed, and they aren't saved. Startsy asks before sending them and reminds you to keep faces and private things out of the frame.
Meet Startsy the robot, up in the top bar. It's silent: a wave and a glowing antenna when you finish a step, and a different little trick when you finish a task. Settings → Startsy the robot can keep it still.

Clearer colors: the less important buttons are quieter so the next step stands out, and every color meets accessibility contrast standards.
Dictation is quieter and clearer: no more chimes while you talk. A moving bar shows Startsy is still listening, until you tap ✓ Done or Cancel.

The top bar stays put: Startsy's name, the version number and ⚙ Settings are always there while you scroll.
⏰ Start by: give a task a time to start (in an hour, this evening, tomorrow morning, or any day and time). When it's time, Startsy plays its own short tune and keeps playing until you choose Start now, In 10 min or Not today. Not today asks when: tomorrow, in a week, in a month or a date you pick. Never "overdue".
Start now opens that task in Start here, at the step you're on.
🗑 Let it go: drop a task you've decided not to do, in one tap. Undo appears for a few seconds.
Settings → Check for updates is always there, so you can check later if you were offline when Startsy opened. It says whether you have the newest build or couldn't reach the internet.
Settings → Reminders: turn all start-by reminders off or on, and change their sound or vibration in Android's settings.
New bottom bar: Today, Week, Later and Done (with how many tasks each holds) and a big 🎤 Add in the middle, all within thumb reach. Your list no longer scrolls behind anything.

⚙ Settings: tap the gear at the top. It has Appearance (Match phone, Light or Dark), AI breakdown on/off, the update check, your data, release notes, feedback and About.
Your data: Export my tasks shares a copy as text to an app you pick, and Delete all my tasks clears this phone.
Send feedback opens your email app addressed to MCPOTA, with the Startsy and Android versions filled in. Nothing is sent until you tap Send.
What's new: after an update, Startsy shows what changed, once.
Dictation keeps listening while you pause or think. Tap Done when you've finished, or Cancel. Your words show as you talk.
The version number is shown at the top.
Light mode: the phone's status bar icons are now dark, so they're easy to see.
