About the founder

Nate Cain

Founder · MCPOTA

Nate has worked in cybersecurity since 1997 (nearly 30 years), protecting national security systems and critical infrastructure. He started in the U.S. Army running secure communications, then spent two decades on the front lines of federal cyber defense: hunting threats, assessing risk, and building the vulnerability-management programs that tell big organizations what's really happening on their networks.

Today he helps federal, state and local government agencies run those programs at scale. MCPOTA is the other half of that work: putting the same honest, evidence-first view into everyone's pocket, with apps that respect the person holding the phone.
